Here’s the 15 minute written exercise Dave taught John to accomplish anything:

*Write down everything you want to accomplish in relation to your intention or   desire.
*Write without editing. Write until you can’t think of another thing.
*Next, Look for all the “Fluff” words and find out what they specifically mean to you.

(Dave used to say if it can’t fit in a wheelbarrow, it’s a fluff word. “Good” is a fluff word. “I want to have a good marriage” needs to be more specific. What does “Good” mean to you? “Better” is a fluff word. “I want better health” contains fluff. It needs to be more clearly defined. “I want to make ‘a lot’ of money” needs to be more concrete.)

*Next, reduce your writing to a statement of 25 words or less.
*Finally, look over that statement and something magical will happen. One word or phrase will visually jump off the page at you, or you’ll hear that phrase or word in your mind, or you’ll get a special feeling for one word or phrase in that statement. IT WILL HAPPEN. Write that word or phrase down. It has deep meaning especially to the part of your mind that singled it out from your written statement.
